As the visionary behind FreedUp Ministries and author of “The Lord Is My Shepherd: 30 Days of Faith, Reflection, and Renewal,” Pastor Samantha uses her voice and experiences to inspire transformation, encourage faith, and lead women into a life of freedom, healing, and boldness.
Appointed as the Pastor of True Unveiling Christian Center, Samantha Fears-Hodge has been a dedicated member of the church, where she previously served as the Youth Director and led the Adult Praise Dance Ministry. She is also the Founder of FreedUp Ministries, a women’s empowerment movement focused on helping women heal, grow, and walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
With her husband, Roderick, by her side, Samantha walks in faith and purpose. She is a proud mother to two courageous children, Samuel and Jade, and finds deep joy in being a loving grandmother. Samantha’s journey with TUCCC has been transformative, guiding her through significant personal challenges and deepening her understanding of God’s word.
Samantha was appointed as Pastor by her father, the late Apostle Reginald K. Fears, who recognized her commitment to ministry before his passing. Through her experiences, she has embraced her spiritual identity and found strength in God—overcoming past struggles and discovering the power of prayer. Through both True Unveiling Christian Center and FreedUp Ministries, she is passionate about sharing the message of freedom in Christ and equipping others to live healed, whole, and purpose-driven lives.
In addition to her pastoral leadership, Samantha is a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter, Stars of Serenity #39 of Houston, Texas, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta, further demonstrating her commitment to service and community upliftment. With a heart for supporting women and youth, Samantha is dedicated to making a lasting impact within her congregation, her community, and beyond.
